Tom Hart has been engaged in energy transactional work and management for over 20 years. Before co-founding Jonah, Hart was a senior corporate development officer for El Paso Corporation for 10 years, most recently as SVP Business Development for El Paso Exploration & Production Company. At El Paso E&P, he led acquisitions of over 1 Tcfe of reserves in numerous transactions totaling over $2.5 billion, and divestitures in excess of $1 billion. He was previously a member of Andrews & Kurth LLP’s corporate and securities group. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Oiltanking Partners, L.P., the Board of Trustees of Keystone School, and the Advisory Board of the Trinity University of School of Business. He previously served on the Boards of Four Star Oil & Gas Co., the US Oil & Gas Assn. and the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
President and Chief Operating Officer
Craig is a senior oil and gas executive with over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to Jonah Energy, Craig served as Vice President of Operations, Northern Division for Chesapeake Energy. Prior to Chesapeake, Craig was President and CEO of Dominion Exploration Canada and was a Vice President at Louis Dreyfus. Craig is a member of OIPA and the Society of Petroleum Engineers and holds a BS from Texas Tech University.
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Dave has been involved in the natural resource sector for over twenty years. Dave’s upstream exploration and production experience came from his time at St. Mary Land & Exploration Company (SM Energy Company) from 2003 to 2008 where he served as SVP and Chief Financial Officer, at Cimarex Energy Company from 2002 to 2003 as Controller and CAO, and with the Denver office of Arthur Andersen LLP from 1991 to 2002 as a Senior Manager. From 2008 through August 2014, Dave was with Intrepid Potash, Inc., a Denver based potash mining operation with operations in New Mexico and Utah where he served as the President and CFO. In Dave’s time with Intrepid, he oversaw the investment of over $1 billion of capital including the permitting and construction of a new mine, and construction of five new processing facilities. He currently serves as Board President for Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver and as Treasurer of the Board for Children’s Hospital of Colorado. Dave is a CPA and holds a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Mark has been serving as legal counsel to the oil and gas industry for more than half of his twenty-year legal career. While a shareholder with the Dallas based business law firm, Winstead, Mark served as outside counsel to St. Mary Land & Exploration Company and other oil and gas clients. In 2007, Mark joined St. Mary Land & Exploration Company (SM Energy Company) as Senior Counsel. Mark also served SM Energy as Corporate Secretary from 2008 to 2012 and as Deputy General Counsel from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, Mark joined Magellan Petroleum Corporation as Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary. Mark is a member of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, where he serves on their Special Institutes Committee, and a Board Member for the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts. Mark holds a BA in Political Science from Central State University and a JD from the University of Oklahoma. Mark also served as the Law Clerk to the Honorable Leif M. Clark after graduation from law school.
Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer
Before joining Jonah Energy, Rory was the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for MRC Global Inc., a Fortune 500 company and the world’s largest global distributor of pipe, valve and fitting products and services to the energy and industrial markets. Before joining MRC Global, Rory was the Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development for BG Group’s Americas and Global LNG business. Prior to this role, Rory was the Director of Human Resources – Asia Pacific Region for McDermott International based in Singapore. Over the course of his career of over twenty years, Rory has also held senior human resources, organizational effectiveness, and labor relations roles with Hess Corporation, BHP Billiton and United Group Limited. Rory has extensive US, global and international experience and a proven track record of building high performing teams within industry-leading, multi-national organizations. Rory is a graduate of the University of Western Australia and completed a Harvard Business School executive leadership program in 2009.
